Seychelles and Kenya Airways are strengthening their efforts to promote combined twin-centre vacation packages for travelers in North America.

Africa’s richest island nation teams up with Kenya Airways to invite North American tourists with twin safari-and-beach holidays

    • Seychelles and Kenya Airways are promoting twin-centre vacation packages targeting North American travelers.
    • The campaign combines Kenyan wildlife safaris with relaxing Seychelles beach holidays to boost tourism for both destinations.
    • Kenya Airways’ non-stop New York-Nairobi flights and onward connections to Seychelles make travel easier for North Americans.
    • Recent travel disruptions in the Middle East are increasing interest in East African travel routes.

This collaborative campaign aims to entice tourists to pair a thrilling East African wildlife safari in Kenya with a relaxing beach getaway in the beautiful islands of Seychelles.

The joint campaign is designed to encourage travelers who are already planning a safari in Kenya to extend their vacation with a trip to Seychelles.

While Kenya is widely celebrated as a premier safari destination packed with national parks and wildlife reserves, Seychelles offers a contrasting experience focused on island-hopping, luxury tourism, and marine activities.

Because tourism serves as the top contributor to the economy of the 115-island archipelago, attracting these long-haul travelers is highly valuable to Seychelles.

David Germain, the Seychelles Tourism Board (STB) representative for the Americas, discussed the massive potential of these packages during a recent meeting with Anthony Brinn, the US commercial manager for Kenya Airways.

“An African safari in Kenya followed by a holiday in Seychelles brings together some of the best that Africa has to offer – from exceptional wildlife to iconic beaches and the remarkable natural beauty of the Seychelles Islands,” Germain explained.

A central part of this strategy is making travel between North America and East Africa as easy as possible.

The campaign heavily leverages Kenya Airways’ non-stop flight service connecting New York to Nairobi, alongside its convenient onward flights to Seychelles.

Tourism officials also noted that recent travel disruptions in the Middle East have led to increased interest in alternative hubs and travel routes, making East African corridors more attractive to international flyers.

Germain emphasized that this flight network is key to capturing a larger share of the North American market.

He noted that “Kenya Airways’ non-stop connection between New York and Nairobi, together with its onward service to Seychelles, provides a strong platform for growing Seychelles’ share of this market“.

The STB’s chief executive, Vesna Rakić, has warmly welcomed this joint promotional effort, viewing it as a perfect way to reinforce the deep ties between the island nation and the airline.

The collaboration is expected to inspire tour operators, travel advisers, and individual travelers to design unified itineraries that showcase the diverse natural beauty and vibrant cultures of the African continent.

According to Seychelles news agency, Rakić stated, “We greatly value our long-standing partnership with Kenya Airways and welcome this opportunity to strengthen twin-centre travel between Kenya and Seychelles. It also supports our direction to diversify access and markets for the destination“.

To support this growing demand, Kenya Airways, which currently operates four weekly flights between Nairobi and Seychelles, plans to increase its flight frequency starting in September 2026.
