Mladá Boleslav, 30 <a href="https://abs<a href="https://absafricatv.com/the-missionary-origins-of-banking-geography-in-africa/” title=”The missionary origins of banking geography in Africa”>africatv.com/10-african-countries-with-the-highest-debt-to-the-imf-in-october-2026/” title=”10 African countries with the highest debt to the IMF in October 2026″>October 2026 – Škoda Auto achieved strong results in the first nine months of 2026. Sales revenue rose 3.5% year on year to €23.1 billion and operating profit increased 7.4% to €1.9 billion while net cash flow stood at €1.8 billion. Return on sales remained solid at 8.3% (2025: 8.0%), underlining Škoda’s position as one of Europe’s most profitable volume brands. The Czech carmaker delivered 812,400 vehicles to customers worldwide, up 6.1% year on year. In its core market, Europe (EU27+4), Škoda recorded 666,798 vehicle registrations, strengthening its position as the second-best-selling brand. Battery electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles accounted for 29.8% of the brand’s deliveries in the region, up from 24.1% a year earlier. Demand for electric models gained additional momentum, with the all-new Epiq and Peaq attracting more than 82,000 orders by mid-October. Growth continued in India, where deliveries reached 53,200 vehicles (+7.8%) supported by strong demand for the updated Slavia and Kushaq.

“Growing profitably in the first nine months of 2026 demonstrates the strength of our customer-focused business model. This is an important foundation for managing the challenges of more difficult conditions in the coming year, including even greater competition and margin pressure as a result of our successful electrification drive. In the first nine months, we increased deliveries by 6.1 per cent and defended our position as the 2nd best-selling car brand in Europe while increasing operating profit by 7.4 per cent and achieving an 8.3 per cent return on sales. This is the result of our broadest and freshest model portfolio, financial discipline, and ongoing efficiency improvements. I want to thank our customers for their trust in our brand as well as our employees, suppliers, dealer partners, and the KOVO trade union. We will need this teamwork to maintain our momentum and to navigate future challenges.”

Holger Peters, interim CEO of Škoda Auto

Škoda increases worldwide deliveries and strengthens its position as Europe’s second-best-selling car brand

Škoda Auto delivered 812,400 vehicles to customers worldwide between January and September, up 6.1% year on year. In Europe (EU27+4), the carmaker strengthened its position as the second-best-selling car brand according to official ACEA figures1.

Germany remains Škoda Auto’s largest market. Deliveries rose 15.9% year on year to 178,300 vehicles. Deliveries also increased in other major European markets, including the United Kingdom (71,700; +8.4%), the Czech Republic (70,500; +4.2%), Poland (50,700; +10.4%) and France (39,800; +10.0%). Outside Europe, India remained Škoda’s largest market (53,200; +7.8%), followed by Türkiye (32,600; +1.2%).

The markets with the strongest year-on-year percentage growth included Egypt (+48.8%), Hungary (+19.4%) and Belgium (+17.1%).

Škoda’s electric models rank among the best sellers, with the Elroq in third place in Europe

Demand for electrified vehicles, particularly fully electric models, continued to grow in the first nine months of 2026. The brand delivered 203,100 fully electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles worldwide, up 34.7% year on year. In Europe (EU27+4), almost one in three Škoda cars (29.8%) was delivered with a plug. Battery-electric vehicle (BEV) deliveries rose by 41.3% year on year to 167,400 units.

The fully electric Elroq and Enyaq made the largest contribution to this success. They rank third and fourth respectively among the best-selling BEV models in Europe.

The Elroq is the best-selling electric car in Denmark, Germany and Slovakia and ranks second in the Czech Republic, the Netherlands and Switzerland, and third in Poland and Austria. Global deliveries reached 92,200 vehicles, up 52.7% year on year.

The Enyaq attracted 72,700 customers worldwide and leads the electric vehicle market in the Czech Republic. It also ranks among the top three best-selling electric cars in Austria, Denmark, Slovakia, the United Kingdom and Switzerland.

Together, these results make Škoda the fifth-best-selling BEV brand in Europe.

New Epiq and Peaq expand the portfolio to 14 model series

Škoda Auto doubled its electric vehicle portfolio this year by introducing two new all-electric models, the Epiq and Peaq. Customer interest has been high, with more than 82,000 orders received by mid-October.

The Epiq is produced in Spain, while the Peaq SUV is built at the brand’s main plant in Mladá Boleslav. Škoda Auto now offers a record 14 model series, with the Octavia remaining the best-selling model overall at 138,000 units delivered (−2.9%), followed by the Kodiaq (107,800; +11.9%), Kamiq (92,200; −3.3%), Elroq (92,200; +52.7%) and Fabia (88,100; −2.1%).

    Further delivery growth in India

Škoda Auto continued to grow in India. Deliveries rose 7.8% year on year to 53,200 vehicles, reinforcing India’s position as the brand’s fourth-largest market. Deliveries also increased in North Africa, particularly in Egypt (5,000 vehicles; +48.8%) and Morocco (4,700; +4.5%).
