The results of All India Bar Examination-XXI (AIBE-XXI) will be declared on Saturday (July 18), a press note by the Bar Council of India states wherein 65.92% of the candidates have qualified the bar exam.
“The Bar Council of India is going to declare the result of AIBE-XXI today. The overall pass percentage of All India Bar Examination-XXI stands at 65.92%, indicating the performance standards achieved by the candidates“.
The BCI has said that result was directed to be calculated on the basis of 100 marks.
However the five member Monitoring Committee headed by former Supreme Court Justice Hima Kohli, noticed that though the cut off marks for qualifying AIBE-XXI Examination was fixed at 45 for General candidate and 40 for SC/ST/PwD candidates. After perusal of the Questions paper & result summary, the Monitoring Committee unanimously decided to moderate the result and reduce the qualifying marks by 3.
A total of 64784 female candidates sat for the exam, out of 42757 qualified. Whereas a total of 110909 male candidates appeared for the exam out of which 73045 qualified.
Amongst transgender candidates, out of eight candidates who sat for the exam, three qualified. There are 20 candidates against whom decision over malpractice cases is pending. The total number of candidates who qualified for the exam are 115805.
Further among the 175701 of Persons with Disabilities (PwD) candidates who sat for the exam, 115805 qualified.
BCI has also announced the scheduled for the next exam-AIBE XXII, which will be held on November 29 for which registration process shall commence from August 19.
