Newly signed Azam FC winger Kipre Junior has pledged to help the club return to winning ways after completing his much-anticipated move from Algerian giants MC Alger, saying his main objective is to deliver trophies for the Chamazi-based side.
The Ivorian attacker, who signed a three-year contract running until 2029, expressed his excitement at rejoining the club where he first established himself as one of the most exciting talents in the<a href="https://www.sofascore.com/football/tournament/tanzania/premier-league/2353#id:81687″ rel=”nofollow noopener” target=”_blank”>NBC Premier League.
Speaking in his first official message after being unveiled, Kipre described his return to Azam FC as an honour and thanked the club’s supporters for their continued affection during his time away.
“I have told the fans that I am very happy to be part of the Azam FC family. Joining this club is an honour for me. I believe that with the experience I have gained in my football journey, I will help the team achieve great success. My goal is to win more trophies with Azam FC, and then the rest, God willing,” he said.
Eyes set on silverware
Kipre made it clear that his ambitions extend beyond simply returning to familiar surroundings, insisting he is back to compete for titles and help restore Azam FC to the top of Tanzanian football.
The winger assured supporters that he is fully committed to giving everything for the club and promised to fight for the badge every time he steps onto the pitch.
“I am here to fight for Azam FC,” he said. “The fans should not worry because I will do everything possible to help this team achieve its goals.”
His return is expected to strengthen Azam’s attacking options ahead of the 2026/27 season as the club prepares to challenge for both domestic honours and continental success.
North African experience
The 25 year old also believes his spell in Algeria has made him a more complete player.
After joining MC Alger in 2024, Kipre featured in one of Africa’s most competitive leagues, where he gained valuable experience playing at a higher level and competing in demanding matches.
He said the lessons learned in North African football have improved his game and will benefit Azam FC as the club seeks to compete at the highest level.
According to the winger, he returns to Tanzania as a sharper, more mature player ready to share the experience he acquired abroad with his teammates.
Determined to finish the job
Reflecting on his previous spell at the club, Kipre admitted there is still unfinished business at Azam FC.
Before leaving for Algeria, he was part of an Azam side that came close to major honours but ultimately finished as runners-up in both the NBC Premier League and the CRDB Federation Cup.
He believes the current squad has the quality, experience, and depth needed to go one step further this season.
With renewed confidence, greater experience and a strong desire to repay the faith shown by the club, Kipre hopes his return will mark the beginning of a successful new chapter for both himself and Azam FC as they pursue silverware in the 2026/27 campaign.
