Deputy Chief Minister of Gujarat Harsh Sanghavi inaugurated the centre in the presence of HCLTech CEO and MD C Vijayakumar.
Bengaluru: HCLTech on Friday launched its Global Technology Centre in GIFT City, Gujarat.
The centre will deliver AI-led solutions to HCLTech’s global clients in the financial services industry, and it will also serve as a hub for developing next-generation technology solutions and talent development.
The IT services company also signed Memoranda of Understanding with the Indian Institute of Technology, Gandhinagar and Gujarat Technological University (GTU) to advance industry-academia collaboration and nurture future-ready technology talent in Gujarat.
The partnerships will focus on research in AI for financial services, related software and skills development, providing students and faculty with hands-on industry exposure and opportunities to contribute to global technology and digital transformation initiatives.
Deputy Chief Minister of Gujarat Harsh Sanghavi inaugurated the centre in the presence of HCLTech CEO and MD C Vijayakumar and GIFT City MD and Group CEO Sanjay Kaul (IAS).
Sanghavi said, “The launch of the Global Technology Centre and the AI Lab marks an important step in strengthening GIFT City’s innovation ecosystem and advancing its position as a leading global TechFin hub. HCLTech has a proven track record of building capabilities and creating impact across the locations where it operates, and we look forward to its contribution to Gujarat’s technology landscape. As GIFT City continues its journey from a bold vision to a world-class destination for business and innovation, HCLTech’s presence will play an important role in its next phase of growth.”
