Ugandan gospel artist Mungu Feni is set to release a highly anticipated new single produced by acclaimed Nigerian music producer Masterkraft (Sunday Ginikachukwu Nweke), marking a major milestone in his growing international music career

Speaking about the collaboration, Mungu Feni described the opportunity to work with one of Africa’s most celebrated producers as a dream come true

“Creating greatness with one of Africa’s finest producers, Masterkraft, is a dream come true. Great music with a global sound is dropping soon. Vision meets excellence; the journey continues,” he said

The project was recorded in Lagos, Nigeria, where Mungu Feni travelled to work closely with Masterkraft, one of the continent’s most respected hitmakers. Renowned for producing chart-topping records across Africa, Masterkraft is known for blending Afrobeats, highlife and contemporary sounds—elements expected to complement Mungu Feni’s inspirational gospel message

The collaboration has already generated excitement among fans after behind-the-scenes videos surfaced online showing the pair in the studio during recording sessions. The upcoming single is expected to combine uplifting gospel lyrics with vibrant African rhythms, creating a unique fusion that bridges East and West Africa’s musical influences

The project reflects Mungu Feni’s ambition to take Ugandan gospel music beyond its traditional boundaries. His growing international presence highlights a deliberate effort to position both himself and Uganda’s gospel music industry on the continental and global stage

Over the years, Mungu Feni has steadily established himself as one of Uganda’s promising gospel artists. His music has earned widespread recognition across faith-based platforms, consistent radio airplay, and a loyal fan base drawn to his message-driven sound. He has also been praised for consistently producing inspirational music that resonates with both young and older audiences

Among his notable songs are “House of the Lord,” “Grace,” and “Favour,” tracks that showcase his vocal ability and commitment to spreading positive, faith-centred messages

Music industry observers believe the collaboration with Masterkraft could significantly expand Mungu Feni’s reach across Africa and beyond. It also reflects the growing trend of cross-border collaborations that continue to shape the African music industry

Masterkraft boasts an impressive production portfolio, having worked with some of Africa’s biggest artists, including Flavour N’abania, Bracket, Banky W., Sound Sultan, Timaya, Lynxxx, M.I Abaga, J. Martins and Wizkid. His production credits include hit songs such as “Fine Lady” by Lynxxx featuring Wizkid, “Kwarikwa (Remix)” by Flavour featuring Fally Ipupa, “Girl” by Bracket featuring Wizkid, and “Chinny Baby” by Flavour

He has consistently been ranked among Nigeria’s leading music producers, earning recognition from publications including Leadership Newspaper and The NET, further cementing his influence in the African music industry

While the official title and release date of Mungu Feni’s new single have yet to be announced, anticipation continues to build among fans in Uganda, Nigeria and across the continent, with many expecting it to become one of the year’s biggest gospel music collaborations
