    Na Inec secretary, Rose Oriaran-Anthony, bin make di announcement wia she sign di candidate list for Inec portal.

    According to di revised timetable, di presidential and National Assembly elections go now hold on January 16, 2027, while di govnorship and state House of Assembly elections go now hold on February 6, 2026.

    Di release of i presidential candidate list na in line wit Electoral Act 2026 wey outline all di guidelines for di general elections.

    Based on di guidelines of di Electoral Act 2026, parties wey no submit dia candidate names or list no fit contest for di election.

    E don dey confam say na 18 presidential candidates and vice from 18 political parties dey contest for di January 2027 election.
