OnePlus confirms exit from North America, Europe: What the company said

OxygenOS
is officially ‘dead’
Alongside the regional exit, OnePlus announced that it is killing off its famous operating system, OxygenOS. All future OnePlus smartphones globally will now ship with Oppo’s standard software platform, ColorOS. OnePlus defended the move as a purely practical decision to save money and improve software maintenance.“This software update enables us to streamline software development, accelerate update cycles to our community, improve software quality, and make better use of our shared engineering and R&D capabilities,” the company said in an official statement. The company explicitly confirmed that outside of the software update to ColorOS, there will be no changes to its distribution network, physical stores or organisational structure in India.
