    Di Presidential candidate of Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) Peter Obi don shout come out say dem no allow am enta communities wey e wan enta for Benue state.

    Oga Obi say some youths and security pipo bin come out to chase am and im team comot say dem no wan see am for di state.

    Obi enta Makurdi, Benue capital so e go fit reach some communities wey don dey affected by violence and attacks, but dem block am.

    E come add say di pipo wey block am also attack im convoy on Tuesday wen e dey try connect to oda communities for di state.

    Obi say di reason why e go Benue na to visit places wey jaguda pipo don attac in recent times.

    “E dey ridiculous, we arrive Benue dis morning. For our way to Yelwata commnunity to condole wit di pipo wey affected by attacks, I feel say make I go reach dis pipo as we start our campaign, to show respect and support di pipo.”

    “Only to arrive Makurdi dis morning, and some thugs block me saying ‘peter Obi go back”, I come dey wonder say na Nigeria I still dey,” Obi tok.

    According to Obi, e say make security pipo no look away from dis threat, make dem call di jaguda pipo to order.

    “As presidential candiate, I wan visit evri communities and meet wit pipo, na why I dey here today. We no wan cause confusin or endanger pipo life, na why I dey civil. I dey call on security pipo to chook eyes into dis matter, and call state govnors to orders.”

    “E dey deeply distressing to witness such hostility. I come to Benue not for partisan politics, but to mourn wit our pipo, to listen to families wey don lose loved ones, and to offer comfort for dis moment of sorrow.”

    Also di vice presidential candidate wey be Obi running-mate, Rabiu Kwakwanso tok say di attack on im oga for Benue na ‘dark day for our democracy.’

    Di Benue State Govment say dem reject di claims by di candidate of di NDC, Peter Obi say thugs wey dey work for di state govment block and attack am wen e come di state.

    According to Tersoo Kula wey be di Chief Press Secretary to di Govnor, tok through statement on behalf of di state govment say di attack fit be political matter within NDC.

    “Di allegations dey unfounded and desperate attempt to drag Governor Hyacinth Alia and di Benue pipo into wetin fit be internal political matter within di Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC).”
