24 September 2026 marked an important milestone for Vaksindo Satwa Nusantara, as the company officially began its first exports to Africa, with shipments destined for Zambia, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Uganda, and Malawi.

This milestone represents more than an international shipment. It reflects Vaksindo’s continued commitment to developing research-based veterinary vaccines and bringing Indonesian animal health solutions to a broader global market.

Dr Agung Suganda, Director General of Livestock and Animal Health at the Ministry of Agriculture (left) and Dr Teguh Yodiantara Prajitno, Vaksindo President Director and Head of Animal Health and Livestock Equipment at Japfa Comfeed Indonesia.

For its first exports to Africa, Vaksindo shipped 10 poultry vaccine products designed to support the prevention and control of important poultry diseases, while helping to strengthen productivity and sustainability across the livestock sector.

With a track record of exporting veterinary health products to more than 25 countries across Asia, the Middle East, and Latin America, this expansion into Africa marks another important step in Vaksindo’s international journey.

The significant milestone was attended by representatives of Indonesia’s Ministry of Agriculture, including Dr Agung Suganda, Director General of Livestock and Animal Health; Dr Wibawa, Director of Animal Health; and Arif Wicaksono, Coordinator of the Animal Health Product Supervision Sub-Directorate of the Directorate of Animal Health.

The event was also attended by representatives from the Animal Health Division of the West Java Provincial Food Security and Livestock Agency, the Bogor Regency Fisheries and Livestock Agency, as well as members of the Japfa Board of Directors.

The occasion also brought together invited guests, colleagues from across the Japfa Group, and teams from Vaksindo and Agrinusa Jaya Santosa.

The company is grateful for the support and collaboration of the Indonesian government, the Ministry of Agriculture, the Quarantine Agency, Japfa Group, its partners, and everyone involved in making this milestone possible.

As Indonesia continues to strengthen its animal health industry and expand value-added exports, Vaksindo remains committed to contributing through science, innovation, quality, and collaboration.

From Indonesia to Africa, Vaksindo continues to expand its contribution to healthier animals and more resilient livestock production systems.
