Members and supporters of the <a href="https://absafricatv.com/europe-africa-fuel-availability-outlook-22-july/” title=”Europe & Africa Fuel Availability Outlook 22 July”>African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Adamawa State have staged a peaceful protest across major streets in Yola, rejecting what they described as the substitution of the party’s governorship candidate, Amb. Engr. Omar Suleiman, popularly known as Omarana, for the 2027 general elections….

The protesters, carrying placards with various inscriptions and chanting party slogans, marched through the city, insisting that they would resist every attempt to undermine what they called the mandate and wishes of party members.
The demonstrators called on the national leadership of the ADC, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), security agencies, and other relevant stakeholders to intervene and ensure that due process and the democratic will of party members are respected.
The protesters maintained that their demonstration was peaceful and lawful, warning against any action they believe could shortchange the aspirations of party members in Adamawa State.
They vowed to continue pursuing legitimate and peaceful means to protect what they described as the party’s democratic principles while urging authorities to act promptly to prevent the internal dispute from escalating.
