The African Football Confederation (CAF) has opened the bidding process for the organization of the Africa Cups of Nations in 2028, 2032, and 2036. The governing body of African football has formalized this process on its website. The 54 member associations are now invited to submit their bids to host the final stages of the upcoming editions of the CAN. This process is part of the CAF’s long-term planning strategy for its main continental tournament

At the same time, the body reminded that the 2027 CAN will be co-hosted by Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda, with the final stage scheduled from June 19 to July 17, 2027. The CAF specifies that the framework for this call for bids was developed with the support of its independent advisers, including PwC, as well as several technical, financial, and legal experts. As the flagship competition of the African continent, the Africa Cup of Nations remains one of the major sporting events globally, both in terms of its audience and its sporting and cultural impact.
